Privacy Policy
Shipper Desk is a sales tool for US freight brokers, made by Layerr. Layerr is a brand owned and operated by OFFDESK TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U62090DL2026PTC471005), which is responsible for your personal data under this policy. "We", "us" and "our" mean OFFDESK TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED. This policy covers the Shipper Desk website and app.
1. Information we collect
From your Google account, when you sign in
- Your name, email address and Google account ID.
- Whether the account is a Google Workspace work account, and its company domain. Shipper Desk works only with work accounts.
- Your permission for Shipper Desk to send email from your Gmail (the Gmail "send email on your behalf" permission). Google gives us a token for this, which we store encrypted.
- Google also shares a link to your profile photo when you sign in. We don't keep it.
Shipper Desk never asks for permission to read your mailbox, and cannot read it.
What you enter in Shipper Desk
- Your email signature: name, title, phone, email, company, MC number, website and address.
- Shippers you add yourself, the stage each shipper is at, call outcomes, notes and reminders.
- Emails you write in Shipper Desk.
Shipper contact details
Business contact details of shippers (company, contact name, work email, phone, city, state and industry), either from the Shipper Desk lead pool or added by you.
Emails sent through Shipper Desk
For each email: the recipient, subject, text, the time it was sent, and the message ID Gmail gave it.
Credits and payments
Your credit history and, for each payment, the pack you bought, the price, any offer or code applied, the mobile number you gave for the payment, and the order and payment IDs and status returned by our payment gateway, Cashfree Payments India Private Limited. Your card number, CVV, UPI PIN and net-banking details are entered directly with Cashfree and are never received or stored by us.
Usage data and cookies
Standard server logs: the pages and actions requested, the time, browser type and network address, used for security and fixing problems. We use cookies only to keep you signed in and to complete Google sign-in safely. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
2. How we use your Google data
- Name, email address and account ID: to create your account, sign you in, put your name on your account, and make sure the free welcome credits are given once per Google account.
- Permission to send email: only to send, from your Gmail address, (a) emails you write in Shipper Desk and (b) the follow-up emails you switch on for a shipper, on the schedule shown in Shipper Desk. Nothing is sent to anyone you didn't choose.
We never read, search, change or delete the email in your mailbox. Shipper Desk does not request access to do so.
3. How follow-up emails are written
Follow-up emails, and drafts you ask for with "Draft with AI", are written by one AI model: Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4.6. We reach it through OpenRouter, which runs it on Anthropic's own service or on Claude hosted by Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Azure or Google Vertex AI. To write an email, the model receives the shipper's details, the details in your email signature (which can include your name from your Google account), and the earlier emails Shipper Desk sent to that shipper. It never receives anything from your Gmail mailbox, because Shipper Desk reads none. We don't use this information to train AI models. Anthropic's API terms don't allow training on what we send, and our OpenRouter settings exclude every provider that trains on request data and don't let OpenRouter use it.
4. Email opens and email copies
- Opens. When open tracking is switched on, each email carries a small image. When the shipper's email app loads it, we record that the email was opened and when, and show you this.
- Email copies. Each email sent through Shipper Desk includes a hidden copy (Bcc) to a Layerr address. We read only its message ID, so that the next follow-up joins the same email conversation, and then discard the copy.
5. How we use your information
- To run your Shipper Desk account and show you your shippers, leads, emails and credits.
- To send the emails you start, from your Gmail.
- To process payments and add the credits you bought.
- To answer your questions and give support. Authorised Layerr staff can see account information for this.
- To prevent fraud and misuse, and keep Shipper Desk secure.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the service providers we use to run Shipper Desk:
- Amazon Web Services: hosting, the database, and receiving the email copies described above.
- Google: sign-in, and sending your emails through Gmail.
- OpenRouter, which runs Anthropic's Claude on Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Azure or Google Vertex AI: writing emails, as described above.
- Cashfree Payments: processing payments.
We also share information when required by law, a court order or a government authority.
7. Google API Services: Limited Use
In particular, data we receive from Google APIs:
- is used only to provide the Shipper Desk features described in this policy: signing you in and sending the emails you start;
- is not transferred to anyone else, except as needed to provide those features, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition of our business, with notice to you;
- is never used for advertising, including personalised or retargeted advertising;
- is never sold;
- is never used to train, develop or improve AI or machine-learning models, ours or anyone else's;
- is not read by any person, unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security or to investigate abuse, it is required by law, or it has been aggregated and anonymised for running the service.
8. Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account, email contact@layerr.co.in from the email address you sign in with. We delete it within 30 days. Deleting removes your account, your Gmail permission (we also ask Google to cancel it), your signature, your shippers, emails, notes and reminders, and your credit and payment history. Any unused credits are lost. Leads you unlocked go back to the lead pool.
We keep only a one-way fingerprint of your Google account ID. It can't be turned back into your details, and it is used only so that the free welcome credits aren't given twice to the same Google account. Cashfree keeps its own records of payments made through it.
9. Security and storage
Shipper Desk runs on Amazon Web Services servers in the United States. All data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Your Gmail permission token is stored encrypted, and is used only by Shipper Desk's own servers to send your emails. Access to your account is limited to you and to authorised Layerr staff.
10. Your choices and rights
- Withdraw Shipper Desk's access to your Google account at any time in your Google Account, under Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services. Sending stops straight away, and your follow-ups pause until you sign in again.
- Stop the follow-ups for any shipper at any time in Shipper Desk.
- Ask for access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing us.
Shipper Desk is a business tool and is not meant for anyone under 18.
11. Grievance officer and contact
For any concern about how your data is handled, write to our grievance officer at contact@layerr.co.in with the subject "Grievance". We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
